The words Droom Zaacht, in Flemish, mean Sweet Dreams. This project, a set of 5 unconventional drawing tools, is intended as an example of calm technology — that is, software that brings about a sense of calm and reflection in users of the software. These drawing tools began as distinct software sketches developed in Processing, a Java-based environment and language for prototyping interactive software. These sketches were then grouped within a single interface and packaged as an applet, viewable from any Java-enabled web browser.
